This field trip is proudly brought to you by RogersHood Apothecary. Welcome back, beautiful people. Today we are taking you with us into the official Aphora headquarters in Montecito, California, to give you a private tour led by the founder himself, Ken Guayan. Come with us as we soak in a hyper-oxygenated spa and give you a sneak peek behind the scenes to show you how the world’s best, healthiest water is made. But first, trust us, you don’t want to miss this. So sit down for an exclusive, one-of-a-kind interview with Ken.

Kim: 0:41

So introduce yourselves, let us know who you guys are.

Ken: 0:44

So my name is Ken Guyen. I founded Ephora about 20 years ago. But I’ve been in the water space as it relates to health and wellness pretty much all my life. I filed my very first pen in my 20s. I’m an inventor really. I filed my first water pen way back in the early 80s. What’s really unique about Euphoria is not only do we bottle and manufacture this water, we also manufacture the systems that make the water and also sell those. So a lot of folks will start out with the water and then purchase a system and make their own water at home. And that’s really what we encourage because no bottled water is sustainable. I mean, we bottle the glass, of course, uh for a lot of reasons, but ultimately at the end of the day, you want to be making your own water. And in in today’s world, we can pretty much clean up any water.

Sam: 1:34

Wow. You can convert any water. Yeah, we can take it.

Ken: 1:37

We can take a cow pond and turn it into this water.

Sam: 1:41

Wow.

Ken: 1:41

That’s the beautiful thing about where this space is today is that as long as if as long as we know what it is in the water that needs to be removed, there’s different filter mediums that can remove that. And it’s usually a whole combination of different localities.

Sam: 1:58

So what are the filters then? Like what are the different stages in the process?

Ken: 2:03

Yeah, yeah. So really the the first thing that, you know, we have really hard water in California. I don’t know. The water here is like cement. So uh and it’s a problem because the water is so hard, you know, everything water spots and uh it tends to plug things up, so especially in filtration. So the first thing we have to do is remove the hardness. The water’s so hard here, it takes a lot of equipment to do it. Um I’ll be showing you that. But if you remove the hardness first, uh the rest of the filtration process goes pretty smoothly.

Sam: 2:36

Nice.

Ken: 2:37

If you if you don’t do that, it’s it’s uh it’s problematic. And uh a lot of people in this industry don’t remove the hardness.

Kim: 2:44

And skip that stem.

Ken: 2:45

Yeah, and that’s if you’re you’re you’re dead in the water if you do that. So uh so that’s really the most important thing.

Kim: 2:52

How do you start the process of the removal? Is that like a reverse osmosis?

Ken: 2:58

Today yeah, we can mechanically filter down to 0.0001 microns.

Kim: 3:03

Wow.

Ken: 3:04

Uh but but even then, uh the hardest thing to remove from the water is the pharmaceuticals and the trace hormones. And uh because we live in a society that consumes a lot of drugs, they end up in the toilet, yeah. They ultimately end up, you know, in our lives. Wow. And uh, you know, so you’re you’re bathing in our testosterone, we’re bathing in your hormones.

Sam: 3:28

Yeah, so it’s actually harder to filter out the pharmaceuticals than it is to filter out nematodes and parasites and bacteria.

Ken: 3:37

That’s that’s all pretty easy. Wow. Yeah, so uh so we use massive ozone and massive UV sterilization. So every one of our systems that we manufacture uh actually generates both ozone and UV. When you combine those two, uh it it does a really great job of gassing off uh chemicals and things that we can’t mechanically filter out. For instance, the ozone generator we use on our drinking water systems are designed for 30,000 gallon swimming pools.

Kim: 4:08

Okay.

Ken: 4:08

So and that’s the other thing in this industry is um generally uh it’s interesting because the water industry is pretty much driven by the plumbers. And uh God bless the plumbers, but uh my dad’s a plumber. Yeah, so yeah, but their business model, it’s a different business model. So when we build our systems, we really don’t want to uh spend a lot of time servicing them. Right. So uh all of our systems that we manufacture are designed for once a year maintenance. Oh uh once a year you change out the filter cartridges, uh maybe a UV bulb, um, and that and that’s pretty much it under performance under normal usage.

Sam: 4:51

Maintenance.

Ken: 4:52

So very, very little maintenance. I’ll show you systems here that have been running for uh you know years without you know any maintenance at all, other than just changing out the filters and filter cartridges. And again, what we try and do uh in generally in in in the industry, things are undersized. We oversize everything, it just makes everything last a lot longer, uh, you know, without without problems.

Kim: 5:18

What makes this so good? I mean, I’m obsessed with it. Everyone knows how obsessed I am. Everybody in this room is obsessed with the fora. Like what have you done that makes it so magical?

Ken: 5:32

Well, we you know, firstly it’s nano purified. So uh what does that mean? That means it’s filtered down to 0.00.

Kim: 5:40

Okay, so that’s what nano.

Sam: 5:41

Nano filter got it. Okay, so even smaller than the filter you always suggest to people for their homes for showers. It’s even smaller than that.

Ken: 5:49

Yeah, the shower filters, you know, we have a really robust shower filter, but uh, you know, it’s it’s primarily to remove chlorine. And that’s really about all it will do, whereas the whole home system is going to take out all those other chemicals.

Sam: 6:04

Yeah, the nematodes and parasites, which is yeah, huge.

Ken: 6:08

Yeah, so that’s huge for us. We firstly nano purify the water, um, and then we uh then we add oxygen. So uh, and that’s there’s so it’s four patents on the process in terms of actually manufacturing the water, and one of them is the oxygen, adding the oxygen. So water in its purest form is called the universal solvent. Probably everybody’s maybe heard that term. Yeah. Okay, so what that means is water in its purest form wants to absorb anything it comes in contact with. And so, like if you look at the Grand Canyon over billions of years or however long it’s been, you know, that was water that caused all that. So water in its purest form absorbs anything it comes in contact with, which is why we’re so against plastic bottled water. So if you go to Whole Foods and look at the water aisle, all that water in that water aisle is basically reverse osmosis water, and it’s produced by co-packers. So they’re just switching bottles, labels, bottles and labels, but it’s all RO water. Again, you’re gonna be seeing this over and over. RO RO water is really pure water, right? So what’s happening is that reverse osmosis water is literally sucking the toxins out of that plastic bottle, and you’re consuming those. And that’s the problem with plastic bottle water, drinking out of plastic, especially for women. So bad water, like a lot of things, are harder than on women than men. Women pay a bigger price for consuming bad water. And everybody’s aware of the nanoplastics. I mean, they’re they’re they’re massive, uh, they’re causing a lot of issues. I mean, they’re causing a lot of issues.

Kim: 7:56

It’s just eroding the bottle.

Ken: 7:58

Those bottles are very flexible and by and you know, you’ve got this really pure water sitting in these bottles, and it’s doing what it’s supposed to do, and it’s just drawing everything out. And unfortunately, women store all these toxins in their breast tissue. And you know, cancer’s epidemic today, particularly breast cancer. So, you know, you can’t drink out of plastic. You you really we have to eliminate plastic.

Sam: 8:24

Yeah, yeah, agree.

Ken: 8:25

And that’s a big task because it’s such a it’s it’s all about convenience. I mean, I’m around people and I don’t know better, uh, and and you know it’s just so easy to pick it up.

Kim: 8:38

Yeah.

Ken: 8:39

So we couldn’t bottle this water and plastic if we wanted to, because if it’s purity, uh you know, that’s glasses the and you know, cans. A lot of people think the cans are safe.

Sam: 8:50

It’s just absorbing the aluminum, it’s a plastic inside the can. Yeah, and uh yeah, so it’s just like a plastic bottle.

Kim: 8:59

Yeah, they actually have this cool video where they dipped it in and then it showed how the plastic is inside holding the soda inside of the water.

Ken: 9:07

It’s plastic is everywhere, and yeah, and it’s gonna take it, it’s gonna take some time to you know. When I was growing up, I remember my mother coming home with with Tupperware. You remember Tupperware? They have Tupperware parties. Yeah. That was that was like, you know, we’re looking at this Tupperware going, holy shit, revolutionary so cool.

Kim: 9:26

We’re eating it up.

Ken: 9:28

That was the beginning of the plastic revolution. Uh I have three daughters, all three of them are in their 30s, and all three of them uh are you know are having problems getting pregnant. Yeah. And that’s an in and they tell me that, you know, dad, it’s it’s all the yeah, it’s every yeah, it’s an issue. And um, you know, our met we have a pretty astute medical board of advisors, and our doctors tell us uh it’s a it’s an issue with the guys because the plastic is affecting their spurn count and it’s settling, and yeah, yeah, I’m real careful about plastic.

Kim: 10:04

So I had stage four endometriosis and I don’t have any plastic food. I don’t heat anything up, I avoid plastic bottles. I’m very conscientious because I had to have hysterectomy when I was 29. Wow because of not just that, other reasons, but it definitely does affect your hormones, right? And you know, cleaning out your body. That’s kind of what started this whole thing. Right, right. You gotta clean it out, and then you like purify it by continuing to put things in it like this. Right. But plastics are an issue. I’m glad that we’re waking up, other people are. But it’s an issue.

Ken: 10:39

Well, we’re gonna have to go back to glass.

Sam: 10:41

Also, about RO, I learned from my dad that RO even coming out of like a faucet in a home. Yeah, he’s he recommends not even drinking that because it also has no minerals. So it does take out all of the things and it’s a strong water, but it can strip your body of minerals just drinking it alone.

Ken: 11:00

Yeah, so what we do is we restructure all our water. And what we mean by restructuring it is adding all the useful minerals back in and bringing the water back to life. So basically, once you nano purify the water, it’s dead acidic water. So you do have to add the good stuff back in because it takes everything out. Um so purification is one half of the equation, the other half of the equation is bringing the water back to life. And that’s lowly before.

Kim: 11:30

Is that the restructured?

Ken: 11:31

Yeah.

Kim: 11:32

That’s what restructured means. Yeah.

Ken: 11:34

The nano pure uh uh hyperoxy and restructured. Yeah. And uh, you know, it’s it’s the oxygen that you know the water is so light on the tongue. That’s what it is. So, you know, for the first time you’re you know, you’re hydrating on a cellular level, and uh, you know, the oxygen makes it lighter in your tongue and yeah, it penetrates your cells better.

Sam: 11:55

What affects the pH? Because I noticed you said after nano purifying it’s acidic. So what what pH does it end up being? Is it alkaline? Is it neutral?

Ken: 12:05

Yeah, we’re about eight between 8.5 and nine.

Sam: 12:08

Nice.

Ken: 12:08

Yeah, uh alkalinity. And uh that’s primarily from the minerals. Yeah, yeah, create the alkalinity.

Sam: 12:15

And the oxygen is what helps drive it into the cell?

Ken: 12:19

We’re all about oxygen. It’s really interesting because if you know your oxygen saturation, you’ve all had it tested at one point. Anything above 95% saturation means you’re healthy. Anything above 95, each point is significant. You know, 96, 97, 98. If you’re at 95 or below 95, usually means you have some health issues going on. Even mainstream medicine is buying into the fact that if you can keep your oxygen levels elevated, most disease is hypoxic. And what that means is low oxygen level. Like cancer loves a low oxygen environment. Cancer can’t grow, thrive, or survive in an oxygen-rich environment. So I’m 75 years old. I soak every day. I just soaked before you got here. I’ll show you the tub. Uh, I soak every day and I drink at least three-quarters of a gallon, shoot for a gallon uh of water a day. And my oxygen levels run between 90 and 100 all.

Sam: 13:22

Wow, amazing.

Ken: 13:23

That’s almost and that’s unheard of for somebody my age. Yes, that’s usually a young athlete. So, what’s the buzz about oxygen? If you can keep your levels elevated, the chance of getting any of these weird autoimmune diseases or worse cancer is significantly reduced. It’s a great indicator of your overall health, what your oxygen saturation is. Yeah, I’m pretty good at guessing, so it’s kind of like the circus guessing wait. I can I can look at people and tell me.

Sam: 13:52

Well, my aura told me this morning I’m a 97. Woo! Yeah, I’m 97 oxygen. Oh, yeah. But this is a vehicle for hydration and oxygen. Yes. That’s amazing.

Ken: 14:03

So we’re all about oxygen. Um, what I’m really excited about is our spa, our hyper hyperoxygenation spa. Um, I’m in the spa, I started in the spa industry. Um, but this water, so the water in the spa um is nano, it’s it’s basically this water. Okay. So when you’re sitting in the tub, you can drink the water.

Kim: 14:25

Nice. Wow.

Ken: 14:27

So it’s nano pure and it’s it’s also hyperoxygenated. So there’s 32 parts per million of stable amount of oxygen in the tub. So what we discovered is in one 20-minute soak in this nano-pure hyperoxyated tub, your body absorbs all the oxygen it can hold and it’ll last in your body for 14 hours.

Kim: 14:49

Wow. Amazing.

Ken: 14:50

Wow. So if you’re healthy, one 20-minute soak is all you need. If you have healthy shoes, you want to soak twice a day. And I was soaking twice a day for I if if I had the time, I I would be soaking twice a day. I strongly feel like when you get old as you age, I I think if you’re 50 or older, you should be soaking it in these tubs. I mean, they’re that powerful.

Kim: 15:13

It’s really important to soak. Literally, it’s like what we all kind of do in the bio.

Ken: 15:18

It’s it’s the closest thing to the fountain of youth. Oh, it’s great that that exists. And uh, and if you combine it with you know more movement and eating clean, oh man, you’re gonna slay it.

Sam: 15:32

Forget that. Up next, your VIP tour. Excited to soak.

Kim: 15:36

Wow, oh my god, our goosebumps, it’s so pretty.

Ken: 15:41

That’s raw municipal carpentery of water is blue tank.

Kim: 15:46

Okay.

Ken: 15:46

That’s that’s street water is coming in.

Kim: 15:48

That’s street water.

Ken: 15:49

That’s street water. We can fix any water. So what we do, we have massive harness removal. All three of those tanks are designed to remove all the harness. That’s that’s again the first thing we have to do. Massive harness remover, massive reverse cost motions here, more filtration over here, two nice disrupt.

Kim: 16:12

Nice.

Ken: 16:12

And this is the finished water in the stainless steel tank. This is pretty interesting. This is 528 hertz healing frequency. So we’re getting water here is more absorbing it comes in contact with this frequency speed pull right into the water. So it’s the last thing that happens. That’s why this water is beating.

Kim: 16:34

You’re putting frequencies into our water. That’s a nice life. It’s really frequency.

Ken: 16:41

We’re breathing 21% of the oxygen right now in the atmosphere. The rest is pretty much nitrogen. This is a nitrogen scrubber. What it’s doing is scrubbing the nitrogen out of the air, given it’s 99% pure oxygen. Well, we do, so if I just cut that line and put it in a in a in a glass of water to bubble up, right? We have a pattern and process that turns those big bubbles into nanobubbles. That’s when you’re sitting at the time your body’s absorbing them. We use a lot of different filter media. So there’s about 600 pounds of filter, different filter media in this tank. So there’s different levels. So let’s say we have arsenic in the bottom to remove arsenic media to remove the arsenic. But all of our systems contain these tanks that have these customized filter media. And these are backwash heads. So what happens is the water’s being uh filtered all day, and then at night it’s reversed, so it flushes all the toxins down the drain. And uh totally maintenance-free. So we we program these heads. The filter media is good for up to 15 years.

Kim: 17:49

15 years. Oh man. Yeah.

Ken: 17:56

We have two types of soaking vessels that we recommend. This is a hot spring spa. It’s manufactured out of San Diego. It’s a very reliable company. I have hot spring spas in the field for 30, 35, 40 years. These things just don’t break. All of our stuff, when I’m when I tell people you can will it to your kids. I feel stuff that lasts for a lifetime. And I’m a nut about that. I’m a nut about things not breaking. I don’t really want to be in the service business. Right. I want to I want to sell this to people, have them enjoy it. So, this water, when you’re sitting in this tub, this is basically the same water you’re drinking. Okay. You can sit in this tub and actually drink the water. At the same time, you can see the oxygen bubbles as pure oxygen bubbling into the water. So when you’re sitting in this tub, because of the purity, you’re literally, it’s literally sucking all the toxins out of your body. So you’re gonna come out of this tub, you’ve never been so clean, ever in your entire life. I’m so excited. So don’t go home and take a shower or a bath. Okay. Uh it’s it’s gonna get dirty.

Kim: 18:59

Should you shower or bath before you get in them? You just get it. You just get it. But then don’t drink the water after you’re everything.

Ken: 19:06

This is filtering. This is this water is being turned over every couple minutes in this spot. I’ve been in this tub bleeding. I’m a big, I’m a big time hiker. The wound healing in this tub is mind-blowing. I’m a big hiker. I’ve taken some nasty falls. Uh really nasty. I should be dead. Uh, but I’ve actually been in this tub bleeding, and uh it’s uh it’s it’s a game changer for health in terms of wound healing. Yeah. So nano pure hyperoxygen, sucking the toxins out of your skin, you’re uploading pure oxygen. Basically, in 20 minutes of soaking, your body’s gonna absorb all the oxygen it can hold. It’s gonna last in your body for 14 hours.

Kim: 19:50

Wow, I didn’t know that.

Ken: 19:51

So you might have trouble sleeping today.

Kim: 19:53

Okay.

Ken: 19:54

What’s the fun part for me is to listen to you after we get stuff.

Kim: 19:59

Nice. Yeah. To get your the feedback and how you’re helping other people and healing them. Yeah. Because water is really a healing.

Ken: 20:07

This is healing. So this is kind of my last hurrah. Yeah. I mean, these systems, these systems are not inexpensive, and that’s the biggest drawback. Um trying to figure out a way to bring the cost down on these systems. You need um for this hyperoxyation process to work, you need a large body of water. So you you need the pressure. This is 500 gallons of water here. So you need you need to be sitting in a large body of the water. So the water pressure forces the nanobubbles in your skin.

Sam: 20:38

Thank you so much for joining us on this deep dive into the world’s healthiest, most nano-pure, hyper-oxygenated water on the planet. We hope you learned the importance of bathing, soaking in, and drinking pure, alive water to support a long and truly healthy life.
