Parasites and Sugar Cravings: They’re Not Your Cravings, They’re Theirs
TLDR
If you’re craving sugar nonstop and can’t figure out why, it might not be you. Parasites feed on sugar and they will literally tell your body to eat more of it. They’re alive inside of you, and they’re hungry.
In this post, I’m breaking down how parasites control your cravings, what other signs to watch for, and what you can actually do about it.
“Candida and other worms tell you to eat sugar and salt. If you think you have it and you’re mowing down every day on salt and sugar, usually you have a parasite.”
— Kim Rogers, RogersHood Apothecary
I Thought I Just Had a Sweet Tooth
For years I thought my sugar cravings were just me. Just stress. Just hormones. Just a bad habit I couldn’t kick.
I’d eat clean all day. Then 7 p.m. would roll around and I was raiding the pantry like something had taken over.
And something had.
I didn’t know it at the time, but I had parasites. Roundworms. Flukes. Pinworms. The whole party. And those critters? They were the ones sending the sugar signals. Not me.
When I finally did my first cleanse and saw what came out of my body, a lot of things started to make sense. The cravings. The late-night eating. The bloating. The brain fog.
That was my turning point.
Why Parasites Make You Crave Sugar
Here’s the thing. Parasites are alive inside of your alive body. They’re not just sitting there doing nothing. They’re eating, reproducing, and sending signals to your brain to get what they need.
And what do they need? Sugar and salt.
Candida is an overgrowth of yeast. When it gets out of control, it becomes parasitic. And candida thrives on sugar. So does pretty much every other worm and organism living inside of you.
They eat your serotonin too. That’s your happy hormone. That’s why they make you feel bad about yourself. That’s why they make you feel unworthy. They’re literally eating the thing that makes you feel good.
And then they tell you to eat more sugar to keep the cycle going.
It’s not weakness. It’s biology.
The 7 P.M. Hunger That Won’t Quit
One thing I talk about a lot is the nighttime eating pattern. If you notice you’re fine all day but then around 7 p.m. you just can’t stop eating, that’s a big sign.
Parasites are nocturnal creatures. So 7 p.m. is basically their morning. They’re waking up. They’re hungry. And they’re telling your brain, “I need breakfast.”
That insomnia you’ve got? Connected.
The restlessness at night? Connected.
The midnight snack runs? Connected.
It’s not you being undisciplined. It’s them running the show.
They Don’t Just Control What You Eat
Sugar cravings are just one piece of it. These things are controlling more than your diet.
They eat your serotonin. During a full moon, when serotonin runs higher, parasites dislodge from where they’ve been hiding. They hop on that serotonin river and start looking for new real estate inside your body. That’s why people feel different during a full moon. That’s actually science.
They can steal your iron. Hookworms sit right on the side of your vein and absorb it. People end up getting iron infusions when really they’re just feeding the hookworm.
They can absorb up to 90% of your nutrients. So you’re eating well. You’re doing everything right. And you still feel exhausted, foggy, and inflamed.
Sound familiar?
The Signs That Parasites Are Behind Your Cravings
If you’re reading this and thinking “that sounds like me,” here’s what else to look for.
Constant sugar and salt cravings.
Bloating that won’t go away no matter what you eat.
Brain fog and difficulty concentrating.
Fatigue even when you’re sleeping enough.
Skin issues like bumps, rashes, or breakouts that don’t respond to topical treatments.
Constipation or irregular digestion.
Anxiety, low mood, or feeling unlike yourself.
Late-night eating habits that feel out of your control.
I had all of these. Every single one. And nobody connected the dots for me.

What I Did About It
In 2021, I came across a video where someone talked about almost losing her life over parasites. She showed a product. I bought it that day. Within 3 days I saw roundworms, flukes, and pinworms in the toilet.
I will never forget that moment.
But that first product wasn’t the whole picture. I wasn’t binding. I had stuff coming out of my skin. It was wild. And that’s because if your pathways aren’t open, your body will push these things out however it can.
That’s why I built the ParaFy Kit the way I did. It’s not just a parasite cleanse. It’s a full system. You’ve got the antiparasitics going after the worms and candida. You’ve got a biofilm buster burning their house down. You’ve got a heavy metal detox because parasites hold six to eight times their weight in heavy metals. And you’ve got a binder catching everything they dump when they die off.
I made it simple because when I was sick, nothing was simple. I wanted to change that.
Why the Cravings Change After a Cleanse
One of the wildest things I’ve experienced is how much my relationship with food changed after I started cleansing.
I don’t want the bad food anymore. I just don’t. My taste buds changed. My thought processes around food shifted. I want to eat better. I want to feel better. And once you’ve been chronically ill for a long time and you get one moment where you actually feel good, you just keep going.
That’s what I’ve done for the last four years.
People tell me all the time that the bloating went away. The puffy face after drinking is gone. The constant hunger at night has stopped. And the sugar cravings? They just fade.
Because you’re not feeding them anymore. You’ve taken back control.
“Parafy has done so much for me beyond the physical. When you’re doing what you know to do & nothing seems to be helping symptoms & you’ve seen multiple doctors, it’s frustrating & can make you feel discouraged. Parafy has helped me feel like myself again & also regain hope in a lot of ways. So I’ll tell anyone that will listen to me about Parafy. I lost 14 lbs, my body fat has decreased, & most importantly, I felt & still feel great.”
This Isn’t One and Done
I want to be real with you. One cleanse isn’t going to fix everything forever. We’re exposed every single day. Through our water. Through our food. Through our pets. Through walking barefoot in a yard where animals have been.
Other countries know this. Jamaica cleanses monthly. Mexico does it multiple times a year. In some places it’s mandatory. Three big countries under Western medicine don’t do it. The US, Canada, and Australia.
And that’s wild to me.
I cleanse three to four times a year minimum. I also do shorter rounds over the full moon. And I take my kit with me when I travel. Because if I’m going to eat questionably, I want to be proactive about it.
Proactive instead of reactive. That’s the shift.

If you’ve been beating yourself up over sugar cravings, I want you to stop for a second. Because it might not be about willpower at all. It might be about what’s living inside of you and what it’s demanding.
Your body is trying to tell you something. And once you start listening, everything starts to shift.
I had 13 surgeries. Nine organs removed. I was on benzodiazepines for 22 years. I declined so rapidly in 2019 that I quit my career and moved to the woods to figure out what was wrong with me. And the missing piece was parasites.
Supporting your internal environment should feel just as normal as cleaning your house or filtering your water. Not dramatic. Not dirty. Not fringe. Just informed. Just empowered. Just human.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can parasites really make you crave sugar?
Yes. Parasites and candida feed on sugar. They send signals to your brain telling you to eat more of it so they can keep thriving. When you cleanse and reduce the parasite load, a lot of people notice those cravings just go away on their own.
Why do I always get hungry late at night?
Parasites are nocturnal. Around 7 p.m. they become more active and start sending hunger signals. That’s their “morning.” If you’re consistently snacking late at night and can’t explain it, that’s worth paying attention to.
How do I know if I have parasites?
You might not see them. A lot of parasites are microscopic. But symptoms like bloating, brain fog, fatigue, skin issues, cravings, and constipation are pretty common signs. The testing that’s available isn’t great either. You can test positive one stool and negative the next. That’s why I made the kit so affordable and easy. Just try it and see how you feel.
Do I have to change my whole diet during a parasite cleanse?
No. Be as strict as you can, but this isn’t one of those cleanses where you have to stop your life for 30 days. The herbs still work. It just comes down to how much you want to get out of it. I tell people to take the tinctures three times a day and live their life.
What does a binder do during a cleanse?
When parasites die off, they dump heavy metals, viruses, spores, and other toxins that were stored inside them. A binder grabs onto all of that and helps push it out of your body so it doesn’t get reabsorbed. Binding is something Western medicine has kinda lost in translation, but it’s so important.
How often should I do a parasite cleanse?
Three to four times a year minimum. We’re exposed every day through food, water, pets, and our environment. Other countries know this and cleanse regularly. I also do shorter rounds over the full moon when parasites are more active. It’s about being proactive, not reactive.
Can parasites cause anxiety and depression?
In my experience, yes. Parasites eat serotonin, which is your feel-good hormone. When they’re consuming it, you’re left feeling low, anxious, and not like yourself. I was on benzodiazepines for 22 years. Looking back, I can see how much of that was connected. A lot of people tell me their mood shifts after cleansing.
Can kids do a parasite cleanse?
Not under the age of three. That’s one of our restrictions and it has to do with specific herbs like wormwood and Oregon grape. But for older kids, yes. Pinworms especially are really common in children. We deworm our dogs but we don’t deworm ourselves or our kids. That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
